Located next to the Salkantay mountain, one of the highest mountain in Peru (6271 masl), Humantay is a snow-covered mountain that, like Salkantay, forms part of the Vilcabamba mountain range and gives rise to the formation of this beautiful lagoon of color turquoise and that is fed by the snow-covered mountains, in addition this lagoon is a few kilometers from the route of the Apu Salkantay.

The route
