Travel Peru Lima, Cusco, Machu Picchu, Puno, Arequipa, Iquitos 15 days

Tour 15 days and 14 nights (Lima, Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machupicchu, Lake Titicaca, Puno, Arequipa, Iquitos).

First day: City tour in Lima with visit to Huaca Pucllana

After breakfast, we will transfer you to the Lima airport, will be checked and take an hour flight to "White City of Arequipa"; there our staff will welcome you and transfer to selected hotel, upon arrival at the hotel you can taste the famous coca mate, this plant has properties that will help your body against altitude sickness, then you can rest and acclimatize in the hotel or if you want to go for a walk through the main streets of the city.

By averaging 13:00 hrs. our staff will look for you at your hotel to start the tour of the "White City"; including the Convent of Santa Catalina, without a doubt, “The Gem of Arequipa”, finally opened to the public in the year 1970, after having been in seclusion for 400 years, with an innumerable amount of pieces of colonial art.

Also, visit the “Plaza de Armas”, the cloisters of the Company of Jesus and the neighborhoods of Cayma and Yanahuara, with a magnificent view of the Misti Vulcan, visit a traditional colonial mansion called the Founder's Mansion.

Then at night we will take you to taste a delicious dinner show, where you can savor our peruvian food. Night at the selected hotel.

Second day

After breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer you to the Lima airport, there you will be checked and take a one hour flight to the "White City of Arequipa" & quot; there our staff will welcome you and transfer you to the selected hotel, upon arrival at the hotel you can taste the famous Coca mate, this plant has properties that will help your body against altitude sickness, then you can rest and acclimatize a bit in the hotel or if you want to go for a gentle walk through the main streets of the city.

Third day: Colca Canyon and Vicuna Reserve

In the morning after breakfast very early departure by private bus to the Colca Canyon, passing at the foot of Chachani volcano. In the tour you will cross Pampas of Cañahuas and Arrieros where the National Reserve of Vicunas is located, as well as Vizcachani, La Pulpera, Callalli, Sibayo and Tuti Villages. It will reach an altitude of 4,000 meters above sea level, where you will appreciate flora and fauna of the beautiful natural lagoons of wetlands and sea trapped along with giant rocks in form of castles. After this magnificent excursion, you will finally arrive to Chivay, in the Colca Valley and lodging here.

Fourth day: Colca Canyon and view of the condors

Very early in the morning and after breakfast, you will depart to "Cruz del Condor", place where the Colca Canyon begins, from this point you can appreciate its depth. In this beautiful landscape you will also have the opportunity to visualize condor in natural habitat. After a brief stop at the "Cruz del Condor", we will continue our trip to the city of Puno, we will arrive approximately at 6:30 p.m., where our staff will wait for you to transfer to hotel in Puno.

Fifth day: Tour to Titicaca Lake, Islands of Uros and Taquile

We will take you to port of Puno (Titicaca Lake), where you will board the ship and you visit to Floating Islands of Uros for a space of 45 minutes, appreciate the customs of this island and its crafts. Continuing with the boat tour you will visit the Taquile Island of great scenic, ethnic, cultural and archaeological value, we will return to port of Puno, there you will be picked up and taken to hotel or if you wish, you can stay in the center of Puno, finally sleep in the selected hotel.

Sixth day: Tourist trip from Cusco to Puno visiting "Raqchi"

Taking a good breakfast, we will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the bus station of the company that will take us for a tour that lasts approximately 8 hours. We will have 4 excursions and guided visits to the places of tourist interest in South Corridor of the Highlands, visiting Inca Aymara museum of Pukara, continuing with the tour we will go to the highest point of whole tour to the pass of La Raya, located 4335 masl, already to finish and closer to the city of Cusco we will visit the Temple of Andahuaylillas also known as “The Sistine Chapel of America”, Arriving at Cusco our staff awaits you and welcomes, drive to your hotel.

Seventh day: City tour in Cusco

After breakfast at the hotel, you will have the morning free, to walk and shop for crafts and souvenirs of Cusco on your own. After your lunch from 13:00 hrs we will pick you up from the hotel to start the tour to the city of Cusco and surroundings, this excursion includes the visit to: the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, Santo Domingo Church, Temple of the Qoricancha and the nearby ruins of Q'enqo, Puka Pukara, Tambomachay and the Sacsayhuaman fortress.

Eighth day: Free day in Machupicchu "The Lost City of Incas"

We will pass by your hotel in the city of Cusco 1 hour before the departure of your train, and we will take you to the train station, located in the town of Poroy, then we will board the train of the company PERU RAIL, and we will start the trip from Poroy – Cusco, to the town of "Aguas Calientes" (2000 masl) which lasts 4 hours.

When you arrive at the town of Aguas Calientes, we will go to our hotel, the guide will look for you at night to provide with necessary information for the day of your tour, if you wish you can visit the Hot Springs or buy local crafts.

Ninth day: Tour Machupicchu

Early in the morning and after breakfast, we will climb the inca citadel of Machu Picchu. Then you will make an excursion with our guide around the citadel of Machu Picchu, for 2 hours, visiting the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries.

Optional: You can do trekking to summit of Huaynapicchu or mountain sector, this will take a few hours, in which you can enjoy the scenery and take some breathtaking views (This visit is without a guide). Then we will go down by bus to Aguas Calientes and in the afternoon we will take train back to Ollantaytambo, where our staff will be waiting for you, to transport by bus to the city of Cusco.

Tenth day: Tour to the Sacred Valley of Incas

We pick you up at 08:00 hrs, tour will start making a stop at the natural viewpoint of Corao, where the guide will give you an introduction about the Sacred Valley. Continue the tour, enjoying a beautiful landscape, the first place to visit will be The Traditional Indian Market of Pisaq, here you can buy some souvenirs or handicrafts, ascend to the Archaeological Center of Pisaq where after a short walk you will reach main Inca enclosures.

Continuing with the trip they will go to the city of Urubamba where in an exclusive restaurant you can taste the local gastronomy. In the afternoon we will visit Ollantaytambo Fortress and Citadel, built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and protect it from possible invasions of the jungle habitants, nowadays Ollantaytambo is considered as the living Inca Town, for the conservation of the customs and urban style that still have their streets. On the way back to Cusco we will visit the picturesque town of Chinchero, where the remains of the royal treasury of Tupac Inca Yupanqui are found. You will also admire its well-preserved Inca wall in the main square and visit the beautiful colonial temple with interesting frescoes in the porch.

Eleventh day: Travel from Cusco to Iquitos - Welcome to Heliconia Amazon River Lodge and visit to the Reserve of Yanamono

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Cusco airport to board the return flight to the city of Iquitos (the flight lasts approximately 140 minutes). You will be welcomed in the Iquitos International Airport, where representatives of the lodge will assist you and transfer to our office in Iquitos. After a short wait, you will be transferred to the Port of Iquitos, where you will be embarked in one of our fast boats that will transfer you to the Heliconia Amazon River Lodge through the Amazon River.

We will continue our journey for approximately 60 minutes by boat. Upon arriving at the lodge, our staff will welcome and receive you with a refreshing fruit juice from the region. Then, you will proceed with the check-in and location in your respective room, so you can go through the lodge's restaurant and enjoy your first Amazonian meal.

In the afternoon, start your first excursion accompanied by our experienced guides, walking through the reserve of Yanamono, for an approximate of 2 hours. There you will be taught to identify various species of flora such as; heliconia flowers, medicinal plants and giant trees. We will depart back to the lodge to enjoy some hours of rest and relaxation, and also be captivated by its first sunset in the Amazon. At nightfall, especially in the growing season of the rivers, we will enjoy a magical boat tour open through one of the tributaries of the Amazon River, without any lighting, accompanied only by some glimpses of flora and fauna from the jungle. Back to the lodge for dinner and also rest and recover energy for the next morning start activities since dawn.

Twelfth day: Expedition to Reserve of Yanamono

We start the day with Birds watching excursion, appreciating how the diverse birds in search of their morning foods, will start very early moving in boat to one of the streams, where you can see the largest variety of birds. After return to the lodge for an energizing breakfast and a short rest, we prepare to be part of Artisanal Fishing expedition, for which we will move to one of the tribes of the Amazon River, where we will learn about artisan fishing techniques, as well like the hunting of piranhas, also the opportunity to appreciate the friendly pink dolphins of Amazon river.

We return to the lodge to enjoy the typical lunch of the region. In the afternoon, we will make a short boat transfer to lake on Yanamono Island, where we can appreciate the majestic Victoria Regia, queen of water lilies. Currently known like “Victoria Amazonica”, this native flower from shallow waters of the basin Amazon river, grow mostly in lakes and swamps. At night, dare to walk on the nature within the perimeters of the lodge and witness the charming transformation from the jungle to a nocturnal environment. We can distinguish a range of wildlife completely different compared to what is usually found during the day, listening to the magical sounds of insects, birds, wildcats and owls. After 30 minutes of travel, we will proceed to return to the lodge and enjoy amazon dinner, finally rest pleasantly.

Thirteenth Day: Iquitos

Enjoy an excellent breakfast before starting the visit to a rustic Amazonian trapiche, transfer by boat for 10 minutes takes us to a still located on the banks of the river. They will show us how habitants of this area, rub sugar cane extract using horses and fermented juice in wooden barrels, which in a given storage time becomes liquor. Try the variety of exotic regional drinks that are obtained from liquor of sugar cane and its molasses; maybe you can buy some bottles of this exquisite liquor to take home as a gift. We will return to the lodge for our farewell lunch, proceed with Check-out, and leave for Iquitos. Depending on the schedule of your return flight to Lima, you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight from Iquitos to the city of Lima, where our staff will be waiting for you to transfer you to hotel in Lima. Thirteenth day: Departure from Iquitos - Lima.

After having breakfast, they will have the morning free to do their activities personal, make the purchase of your memories and in the afternoon we will visit the Magical Water Circuit, a set of 13 ornamental fountains that were built in the Reserve Park, the nation's cultural heritage. These sources have marked a Guinness Record as "the world's largest fountain complex in a public park." Fifteenth day: transfer to the airport and farewell

You must indicate the night before return flight to your country, according to that information we must be at least two hours before to be able to check with tranquility and pay the airport tax of $ 36.00, finally after having accompanied him to perform all your paperwork we will say goodbye.
